A Short History of the Air Max BW

On March 8, Nike will release the Nike Air Max BW OG in White/Persian Violet, 25 years since the first Air Max BW launched in 1991. The BW was the fourth iteration and one of the most underrated shoes in the Air Max line.

Overshadowed by the Dream Team sported-Air Max 180 which was released the same year, the Nike Air Max BW has an interesting history that's honored by this release of the Air Max BW OG with its Persian colorways. The BW refers to the Big Window cushioning. Released with the 1991 Nike International series, the Air Max BW had a huge following in the Netherlands. and enthusiasts today are getting a chance for a second look.
